On The List...*Anna Sui Make-Up Bag*

Irresistibly cute!. That's how i think about Anna Sui's make-up bag collection. If I only have 3 words to describe them, I would say Alice in Wonderland. Yoops, that's the magic words. Take a look at the collection,,,you'll see a girly flower, a vintage magic,and even a glamorous lolita touch in it.



My sister, The 2nd D got one from a trip to Bandung with Bunda last year. A brown vintage make-up bag with flowers and granny pouch design. All things i said was "WHY DON'T YOU BOUGHT ME ONE?". And all she could tell was "JUST USE IT, IT'S OKAY". What a generous sister. Hahay. She knows me a lot so she's always extremely generous to me in a matter of fashionable stuffs. *Thank U, Sist"



But, still, i can't hardly wait to have one for myself. So, i put it on my shopping list, in case i find it somewhere, someday. Girls, if you do love make-up, then your make-up worth those fancy bags. *Winking*

NINOTCHKA!

Ninotchka!. Sounds funny, unique, yet fancy. Perkenalan pertama saya dengan si ‘Ninotchka’ ini adalah dari sebuah artikel kuliner. Jadi, maklum saja kalau satu-satunya Ninotchka yang saya tahu adalah sebuah café vintage di kawasan Jakarta Barat, milik fashion blogger Sonia Eryka. And in a blink of an eye,,,I found myself felt in love with the name.
Rupanya, saya memang sudah berjodoh sama si Ninotchka ini. Suatu sore, saya iseng buka-buka lagi The Movie Book, salah satu buku pintar perfilman milik The 2nd D,,,alias adik perempuan saya. Voila!, pada halaman 161 saya bertemu lagi dengan si Ninotchka lewat profil Greta Garbo.



Curious. Itu hal pertama saya rasakan. Jadilah saya beralih ke search engine untuk menjawab rasa penasaran saya. Usaha saya tidak sia-sia. Ternyata Ninotchka adalah sebuah film lama yang bercerita tentang seorang agen wanita Rusia bernama Nina Ivanovna Yakushova. Si Yakushova alias Ninotchka ini datang ke Paris dan bertugas untuk menyelidiki tiga comrades yang ditugaskan untuk menjual perhiasan milik Grand Duchess Swana. Sesampainya di Paris, agen cantik ini malah jatuh cinta pada Count playboy bernama Leon D’Algout (Melvyn Douglas). Cerita komedi romantis berlatar belakang pertentangan ideologi kapitalisme Barat dan Sosialisme Rusia ini, menurut para kritikus, sukses memadukan humor, romansa, dan satir.



The movie review sounds interesting. Ceritanya yang lucu dan penggambaran karakter Ninotchka yang unik bikin saya makin penasaran tingkat tinggi. Tapi, film ini adalah film super jadul yang diproduksi tahun 1939. I’m just wondering how to find it….
So, no wonder kalau nama ‘Ninotchka’ akan jadi bagian dari proyek flash fiction saya yang berikutnya. Semangat!!

My Premium Gift *WINK*

Kenapa saya menjadikan istilah Premium Gift pada posting ini?. Well, karena saya sedang berpikir untuk memberikan sebuah barang premium yang sudah kurang lebih 5 tahun terselip dalam lemari saya. Yup, my Sonia Rykiel's oversized cardigan coat.



Saya, honestly, jarang sekali punya barang premium yang 100% original. Jadi, saya sempat agak lama berpikir, apakah barang ini benar-benar akan saya berikan ke orang lain atau tidak. Then, pada suatu hari saya nonton talk show OPRAH. Waktu itu temanya how to refresh your fashion collection. Si fashion consultant yang saya lupa namanya memberikan beberapa tips yang...lumayan masuk akallah buat saya. Salah satunya, mengecek item apa saja yang dalam waktu dua bulan tak pernah dipakai sama sekali. Kalau ada,,berarti item tersebut sudah pantas dimasukkan ke dalam list item yang harus di-refresh. Dalam arti, diberikan ke orang yang lebih butuh atau tertarik sama item itu.

Walaupun saya cinta banget sama cardigan coat ini, tapi memang sudah lama nggak saya pakai. Karena faktor badan yang makin melar,,coat ini gak jadi oversized lagi. Tapi malah jadi cardigan coat yang badannya agak ngepas, tapi lengan dan kerahnya kebesaran. Ribet kan?

Jadi, kalau ada yang berminat sama oversized cardigan coat Sonia Rykiel ini, silahkan hubungi saya ya?. FYI, Sonia Rykiel adalah disainer Perancis yang dapat sebutan "The Queen of Knits" karena memang top banget dalam urusan ngedisain sweater. Jadi. kalau ada yang berminat sama premium item saya,,,gak nyesel deh.

The Hangout Two...*Mr. Pancake*

If u like pancake as much as I do,,then I recommend u 2 visit Mr.Pancake @ Trans Studio Mall, Makassar. This is one of The Hangout Two’s fave place,,,I mean me and my younger sister “The 2nd D” .



Its mediteranian style interior design brings a granny-old-house nuance that can keep u sit for hour to hour, feels like home. I also love the teddy bears in their shelf. For the pancake,,,well…even their plain pancake tastes good. And the peach tea is just sooo loveable, even without sugar.

Another thumb up goes to the service. The first time I visited this place, I once felt uncomfortable by the number of the staffs they have in that small room. But, thank God,,they really give u time for urself,,they’re not staring at you or discreetly pay extreme attention for every move you make.

So I can say that Mr. Pancake is comfortable room, nice service, delicious food, and reasonable prices wrapped in one wonderful package. It’s great n it deserves **** stars from me. U better try it.

flash fiction for an inconsistent soul...*_*

Let’s start this year with some flash fictions. It’s not part of my new year resolution list, since I decided not to make any resolution list…hahay. It doesn’t mean that I suddenly become pessimist, but I’m just trying to be more realistic. One of the ‘realistic’ schedules is back to writing.
I read the profile of Shirley Lim in MORE magazine and I was interested in her explanation of flash fiction. FYI, Shirley Goek-Lin Lim is a Malaysian born writer. She is a writer of criticism, poetry, and fiction, and also an English professor in University of California. Her memoir, “Among The White Moon Faces: An Asian American Memoir of Homelands” won the 1996 American Book Award. Shirley Lim’s other works that I really curious about are The Sister Swing and The Passport & Other Lives.

Back to Flash fiction. Flash fiction is a ‘So-Me-Kinda-Literature’ if I can say so. I’m….*unfortunately* an inconsistent lazy amateur writer *poor me*. Sometimes I feel stuck with thousands words, that usually lead me to beat-about-the-bush style of writing. Soooo, knowing about the existence of Flash Fiction sounded like finding a system that will legalize my inconsistency and laziness to write *grinning*. Oops,,not in a real meaning.
Let’s go serious. Flash fiction, for me personally, will help me to keep consistent. I don’t have to write thousands words and lost the coherence of them. In flash fiction,,,even a phrase could be written beautifully. I can focus on what I actually want to express. So, this year, I wish myself a huge spirit to write, write, and write…
